The Digital Commerce Manager will be responsible for using his/her digital commerce based knowledge & experience to ensure successful set up and ongoing management of Riddell web commerce websites and associated initiatives. This role includes management of both B2B and B2C existing website content to achieve solution adoption and active use by the Riddell Sales team as well as program and product set up to enable and support successful introduction of new products.
The Manager will work closely with the Consumer Services and e-Commerce Manager and partner with our IT, Marketing, Product Development and Sales leaders to create solutions for digital sales, web site development, SAP integration, marketing programs., and mobile integration.
This person will be tasked with understanding the range of business and creative needs that our branded digital platforms must serve, and for designing and managing work flow processes to build, deploy, support and enhance our digital capabilities (e.g. web, mobile, social, e-Commerce).
This person will manage and contribute to a combination of in-house and external relationships to optimize our commerce solutions. These resources may include website developers, designers, photographers, creative agencies, etc. They will leverage a variety of approved vendor relationships to protect our technical environment, while working closely with a diverse group of internal BRG Sports cross-functional teams.
Manage commerce websites to achieve an effective sales order management experience for our sales team and external commerce users. This includes spearheading multi-channel digital design and development projects across our Riddell brand leveraging the digital marketing, product development, sales teams and internal IT and external partners.This will include the setup of stores/microsites and all content required to support the sales organization.
Manage successful content creation and presentation on the commerce sites including management of the creative artist(s) responsible for 3D Graphics to be deployed on Hybris.This includes projects form inception to completion
As manager of content creation, work closely with the IT organization to determine the best approach for product presentation so that content to support product sales rules in VC may be created in SAP by IT in alignment with 3D graphics content creation and Visual Enterprise by the graphics artist.
Collaborate with Consumer Services and e-Commerce Manager to develop periodic e-commerce performance, digital spend performance and social media reports for executive leadership, including Google Analytics.
Team closely with our BRG IT organization to identify vendor solutions that will benefit all and team across the enterprise to achieve best value.
Serve as a technical resource within Riddell marketing organization to provide insights and support in all areas of online technology including digital budget planning.
Partner with consumer services, product development, accounting and sales teams who are responsible for product design, pricing and sales to accomplish business goals for effective digital graphics for commerce deployment.
Select, manage & assign work to external agencies, including teaming with IT to manage contracts and formal scopes of work including ongoing project monitoring and assessment.
Ensure adherence to and consistency of Hybris & SAP site architecture and implementation standards, coding standards, web site design guidelines, shared technology usage, design language, etc.
Stay current on new technologies, market developments, in the social web, UX/UI and mobile domains.
Education and Training
10+ years digital experience with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably in an online media environment/ creative agency working with external clients
7+ years of related experience in web and/or software based development/ engineering
Prior use of Hybris, Magento, and WordPress preferred
Working experience with commerce solutions integrated to SAP
Undergraduate degree in computer science, technology, digital media, or related field, advanced degree preferred
Deep, current knowledge of digital media, mobile, web platforms, web development and design technologies
Cross browser expertise
Experience with interactive design concepts, wireframes and user-flow diagrams
An understanding of information architecture & hierarchy
Functional knowledge of social media for business
Skills and Abilities
Able to balance and address the sometimes-conflicting needs and timelines of multiple stakeholders
Experience planning and implementing social and community tech features within a larger platform including knowledge of graphics, authentication solutions, user management features, and integration of relevant social network APIs (e.g. Facebook, OpenID, Twitter, etc.). Proficient in:
Exceptional communicator who leads and contributes to highly technical discussions, and can translate technical issues and considerations clearly
